Tayside Pressure Washers were established in 1982, and have been a family-run business that has expanded every year since. Their reputation and knowledge in the in the field of Pressure washers, cleaning equipment and floor care equipment is second to none.

All of their engineers are Karcher UK Ltd trained and approved, and have accreditation from all the relevant trade bodies, so every customer can be assured that their quality will be of the highest degree. With a large customer base including local authorities, large organisations and private customers they are committed to providing a high standard of customer service, no matter how big or small.

The Brief

Tayside Pressure Washers needed a site primarily to showcase their vast range of equipment. This, in turn, demonstrated their expertise and depth of knowledge, taking their excellent reputation and helping to build trust on an online platform. The ability to display their range and to enable customers to directly request quotes would help transform the business from a solely physical one and begin to take their business to a wider audience.  

While Tayside Pressure Washers sell to individuals, much of their business comes from larger organisations. Having the full range of products online would mean that they can easily talk through the requirements for larger contracts and break down exactly the right tools for the job.

Our Solution

The main element of the Tayside Pressure Washers site was the wealth of products that needed to be displayed. This meant that we needed to create a page hierarchy that would display every product and categorise them in a way that was easy for customers to access and understand. 

For this, we created a three-tier category system. The top level was the landing page for the overall category, for instance, Vacuum Cleaners. This was then broken down into two further landing pages for the sub-categories, Wet & Dry Cleaners and Dry Cleaners. Then finally on the bottom tier are the products themselves. 

These product pages needed to be immersive, displaying every technical spec, every detail about the product and what it was best used for. On these pages, we included a strong CTA above the fold, a direct quote box on the page and a list of related products to help customers easily navigate if this wasn’t quite what they were looking for. 

With this structure and template in place, we could go ahead and load the 75+ products that Tayside Pressure Washers offer. 

With the overall design of the site, we matched the colour scheme of Karcher, the merchant whose products they use the most. This provides trust and the idea of the official partnership to browsing customers and subtly helps in the drive to get them to buy. 

On the homepage, while we wanted to show some products, here we took more of a marketing slant. We looked at showing the aspirational side of the products and services Tayside offer and how much of a difference they can make to your life. We also added their brand promises and a why us section to consolidate trust in the brand. 

Alongside this, we created an About Us, a standalone Quote page and all the relevant financial terms and conditions so that prospective customers had no additional questions that could not be answered on the site.
